Candy melancholy runs the Mortal Half, a trendy bar in Hong Kong. He hired Paul; Stella, a part-time employee who was a psychology student, trained him. He has the makings of a perfect drink to match every customer's emotional needs. However, his emotions were complicated: his father, an alcoholic, had recently died; he left his studies; and, even though he liked Stella, he was a fool to women and couldn't talk to her. Is alcohol the key to happiness, as Paul asks; does it just change a person's personality, like Stella thought; or is it just there, like Candy said? Can Paul and Stella blend into something delicate?
