In the midst of a repressive Korean military regime in 1987, a student was killed in torture during police interrogation. The government tried to cover up his death by ordering the cremation of a corpse, but a suspected prosecutor refused to believe that a 21-year-old young man died of a heart attack. Despite the systematic efforts made to silence all the witnesses, the truth was finally revealed and triggered a blown public rage.
